It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of William Josey Sr. (Sandersville, Georgia), who passed away on March 25, 2020, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Marvin Lawson Josey and Susan Drudell Mixon Josey; his children, William Josey, Wyman Josey and Jeffery Josey; and his sisters, JaMae Josey and Jeanette Josey Brice. He is survived by : his wife Frances McNeely Josey of Riddleville; his daughter Charlotte Josey Hitchcock (Ben) of Tennille; his sister Melba Josey May (Francis) of Sandersville; his daughter-in-law Carol Josey of Riddleville; his grandchildren, Jennifer Josey Martin, Amy Josey, William Harrison Josey, Kristen Hitchcock and Kimberly Hitchcock Duncan; and his great grandchildren, Clay McDaniel, Cassie McDaniel, Matthew Grant, Brayden Duncan, Dylan Duncan and Ava Josey.

Viewing will be held on Friday, March 27th 2020 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the May & Smith Funeral Directors (1119 Riddleville Rd, Sandersville, GA 31082).
