Bennett Josey, 71, passed away on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 in a local hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Friday, March 14, 2014 in the Chapel
of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with the Reverends Danny Mundy, Kenny Hamm
and Donnie Melton officiating. Interment will be in Macon Memorial Park
Cemetery. The family will greet friends on Thursday, March 13, 2014 from 6:00PM
to 8:00PM at the funeral home.

Mr. Josey was born in Washington County, GA to the late Mattie Smith Josey and
Homer Clay Josey. He was a retired self-employed carpenter and a member of Victory Baptist Church. Mr. Josey was a veteran of the U.S.
Air Force. He was preceded in death by his sons: Benny Josey, Jimmy Proctor and
David Proctor.
Mr. Josey is survived by his loving wife: Brenda Josey of Macon; children: Brian (Dianne) Josey of
Gray, Teresa (Jeff) Price of Macon, Richard (Laurie) Elander
of Gray; grandchildren: Josh, Jordan, David, Katie, Brian (Kelli) , Lance, Ashley, Katelyn, Brandon, Nick, Shalynn
and Tuesday; great-grandchildren: Kinsley, Danny, Taylor and Tyler; one brother
and three sisters; and numerous nieces and nephews.
