Wilbur Gene Josey

AMERICUS — Funeral services for Mr. Wilbur Gene Josey of 606 E. Jefferson St., Americus, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2010 at the Mt. Olive Baptist Church. The Rev. Dr. H. C. Wilson will officiate and burial will follow in the Eastview cemetery. The remains will lie in repose at the church one hour prior to the services.

Mr. Wilbur Gene Josey was born
Sept. 26, 1953 in Sumter County, Ga. to the parentage of the late Mr. Eddie Lee Josey and the late Mrs. Fannie Mae Smith Josey.

He leaves to mourn his passing two sons, Mr. Eric (Tasha) Green and Mr. Jeffery Green; two daughters, Mrs. Keisha (Damaion) Cross and Ms. Melissa Simpson; four brothers, Mr. Clarence (Jewel) Josey, Mr. Eddie Will Josey, Mr. Jimmy (Doris) Josey and Mr. James (Mary) Josey; three sisters, Ms. Lena Josey, Mrs. Mary (James) Russell, Mrs. Carmen (William) Clark and Ms. Lorena Josey and friend, Mr. Lonnie Payne; an aunt, Mrs. Ida (William) Floyd; eight grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends also survive.
