T. Dwight Josey

T. Dwight Josey MAIDEN T. Dwight Josey, 78, passed away at his residence Wednesday, May 18, 2011. He was born March 15, 1933, in Catawba County to the late Thomas Pinkney Josey and Rachel Smith Josey. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in the Korean War He retired as a security guard and retired from the Maiden Fire Department. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 240. He is survived by his son, Scott Josey, of the home; her daughter, Sherry Josey Reed and her husband, Steve, of Ashland City, Tenn.; a sister, Winnie J. Pendleton, of Maiden; two granddaughters, Stacy Reed Cox, of Pleasant View, Tenn., and Dana Reed Karasoulis, of Mandeville, La.; great- grandsons, Aidan Cox and Donovan Cox of Pleasant View, Tenn. and Andrew Karasoulis and Matthew Karasoulis of Mandeville, La. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 21, at Goodin-Drum Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Maiden City Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Catawba County, 3975 Robinson Road, Newton, NC 28658. Goodin-Drum Funeral Home is serving the Josey family.
