Shirley Diane Josey Mann Emerson 9 Dec 1938 – 13 Nov 2022

Shirley Duane Josey Mann Emerson, 83, of Leesburg, passed away on the evening of Sunday, November 13, 2022.

A memorial service honoring her life will be conducted at 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, November 19, 2022, in the chapel of Joseph W. Jones Funeral Home.

Mrs. Shirley was born December 9, 1938, in Colquitt to the late Homer and Mattie Daniels Josey. She owned and operated Sandy's Beauty Salon for over 40 years where she loved doing hair and making her clients feel beautiful. Mrs. Shirley loved to talk and never met a stranger. She had a heart of gold and loved everyone. In her free time, she enjoyed shopping, cooking, and getting her nails done. A beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, she will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marty Emerson; her first husband, Vondus Roger Mann Sr.; daughters, Lisa Mann, Dena Mann, and Sandy Mann; grandson, Darren Lott; and her sisters, Ann Troylovich, Dorothy Millner, Patsy Whatley, Cecil Josey, and Gene Josey.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Vondus Roger Mann Jr. (Catherine Tripp); grandchildren, Maggie Mann, Gracie Mann, and Warren Lott; sisters, Marilyn Dunn (Sam), Carolyn Glass, and Betty Jo Tucker (Ed); and a host of extended family and friends that loved her dearly.
