IVA, SC - Sallie Todd Taylor Josey, age 91 of 619 Keowee Road, died Monday,
June 28, 2010 at her residence.
Born in
Anderson County, SC on October 1, 1918, Mrs. Josey was a daughter of the late Stephen Ernest Todd and Rosalie Strickland Todd. She retired as a professional seamstress and was a member of Victory Fundamental Baptist Church in Bryson City, NC.
Survivors include her sons, Therman D. Taylor and his wife, Jean of Williamston, Haskell Taylor and his wife, Carolyn of Pelzer and Paul Anthony Taylor and his wife Debbie of Antreville; step-daughter, Karen Gambrell; sister, Lillian Gordon of Due West; eight grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, Bert Robert Taylor and her second husband, Walter Josey; sons, Robert David Taylor and Floyd Ray Taylor.
A Graveside Service will be held on
Thursday, July 1, 2010 at 11:30 am at Forest Lawn Memorial Park officiated by the Reverend Aaron Hodges.
The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Thursday, from
10:00 am until 11:00 am
Flowers are optional. Memorials may be made to the Anderson Cancer Association,
