Robert Louis Josey Obituary

Robert Louis Josey a beloved member of the Vidor community, peacefully passed away on Monday, March 4th, 2024, at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. He was 77 years old.

Robert was a devout Christian who was raised in the Baptist faith. He dedicated 31 years of his life to Mobil Oil, retiring in 2001. An avid gardener, Robert found joy in nurturing plants and watching them thrive. He also had a passion for fishing and hunting, often spending peaceful days in nature.

In addition to his outdoor pursuits, Robert loved woodworking and creating beautiful pieces with his hands. He cherished moments spent with his family, and was known as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, a memorial service will be held for all to attend Saturday March 9, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Rose City Bapist Church, 1430 Old U.S. 90 Vidor, TX.

Robert is survived by his wife of 60 years Betty Josey of Vidor, TX, two sons, Blaine Josey and wife Adina of Beaumont, TX, and Kevin Josey and wife Michelle of Vidor, TX. He is also survived by his sister, JoAnn Cross of Beaumont, TX, four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

Though Robert has left this earthly realm, his memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. May he rest in peace.
