Rex Lane Head 29 Feb 1932 – 10 Aug 2016

Mr. Rex Lane Head, age 84, of Lucedale, MS, died Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at his residence. Mr. Head was a member of Sand Hill Missionary Baptist Church. He enjoyed singing with the Washington County Travelers.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Loretta Opal Head, one son, Jeffery Lane Head and two daughters; Mavis Diane Amann and Sheila Ann Head; brothers, Carl Head, Hershel Head, John Ross Head, Arnold Head and James Head; sisters, Geneva Lee, Lilly Belle Jones and Shirley Pridemore.

He is survived by two sons; William Bond of Mobile, AL, Gene Head of Laurel, MS, four grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; brother, Kenneth Head; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2016, at Freeman Funeral Home at 2:00 PM with Bro. Steven Howell officiating. A visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 12:30 PM. Interment will be at Sand Hill Missionary Baptist Cemetery, Lucedale, MS.
