Patricia Ann Josey Kesler Benfield, 64, of 303 Odell Street Kannapolis went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 20, 2010, at her home, after months of declining health.

Born on
April 17, 1946, in Cabarrus County to the late Edward Josey and Mabel Josey Menius who survives.

She was also preceded in death by her husband Calvin Elmer Benfield, who went to be with the Lord on
July 10, 2010, and also a brother Glenn Josey.

Ann worked for Food Lion in
Concord. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother to Alyssa Wood who made her home with them.

A visitation will be held on Friday, July 23, 2010, at Hartsell Funeral Home Concord from 12:30 until 2 p.m. Funeral services will follow in the chapel at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Joey Spry of Fisher Street Baptist Church officiating.

Burial will follow at
Cabarrus Memorial Gardens. The family meeting place will be the home.

She is survived by mother, Mabel Josey Menius of Salisbury; daughters, Rhonda Kesler of Virgina, April Funderburke of Concord; sons, Keith Kesler of Salisbury, Perry Kesler and wife, Kim, of Kannapolis, Conway Kesler of Salisbury; step-daughters, Bonnie Estep and husband, Wink, of Concord, Debbie Eutsler and husband, Robert, of Salisbury, Deana Burris and husband, Eric, of Concord, Trina Culler and husband, Mike, of Mount Pleasant; sisters, Ruby Starnes and husband, Johnny, of Lexington, Bertha Daniels of Salisbury, Ethel Combs of Mount Holly; 20 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren: and many nieces and nephews.
