Nina Rickman Josey, 84, of Crossett died Wednesday, August 6, 2008, at the Oak Woods Home in Mer Rouge, LA. A native of Ashley County and a lifelong resident of Crossett, she was a homemaker and a member of the Wallers Chapel United Methodist Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Sandra Linder and husband Larry; two sons, Gary Josey and wife Martha and Larry Josey and wife Shirlene, all of Crossett; three brothers, Lexie Rickman and Robert E. Rickman of Crossett and James Edgar Rickman of Highland, Indiana; a sister, Pauline Hill of Crossett; four grandchildren, Angie Lenard and husband Stacy, Rusty Josey, Jodi Sturgeon and husband Tommy, and Jami Linder; and seven great-grandchildren, Emily, Lane, Frank, Seth, Anna Grace, Morgan and Tyler.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas E. Josey, in 1969; her parents, Robert & Josie Maxwell Rickman; a brother, J. T. Rickman; and three sisters, Lucille Watt, Lorene Byrd and Minnie Clark.
Funeral services were at
10 a.m., Friday, August 8, the Wallers Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Boyd Savage officiating. Burial followed at the Antioch Cemetery. Pallbearers were Ronnie Rickman, Dennis Rickman, Rusty Josey, David Rickman, Andy Hill, Tate Watt, Billy Mac Watt, Charles Rickman, Tommy Rickman and Lamar Hill.
Funeral arrangements were by Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home of Hamburg.
