MARY INEZ CAMPBELL STONE
                                      
   STANTON  - Mary Inez Campbell Stone, 83, of Stanton died Friday, April
   14, 2000, in a Big Spring hospital.
   
   A  private  graveside  service  will  be held for the family. Memorial
   service  will  be  at  2:30 p.m. Monday, April 17, at the First United
   Methodist Church with the Rev. Skip Hodges officiating.
   
   She  was  born June 6, 1916, to Ridley F. and Alpha Webb Campbell near
   Munday.  She  was  reared  in Munday and graduated in 1934 from Munday
   High  School.  She  was  married  to Gordon Stone on Sept. 1, 1935, in
   Munday. Mary Inez was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
   
   She was preceded in death by her parents.
   
   Survivors  include  her  husband, Gordon ``Dogie'' Stone of Stanton; a
   son  and  daughter-in-law,  Gordon  Campbell  and Jacque Stone of Fort
   Worth;  a  daughter,  Carolyn  Stone  of  Dallas;  grandchildren, Mary
   Kathryn  Stone Hurst and husband, Allen, of Tyler, Wilson Gordon Stone
   of  Washington,  D.C., Neil Campbell Stone and wife, Kathryn Josey, of
   Houston,  Leigh  Anne  Stone Kotarski and husband, Jon, of Fort Worth;
   two  sisters,  Darwin  Johnson  and Evelyn Jane Campbell, both of Fort
   Worth;  a  brother  and  sister-in-law,  Ridley  Grayford and Gretchen
   Campbell  of  Fort  Worth;  three  great-grandchildren,  Matthew Allen
   Hurst, Stuart Campbell Hurst and Hailey Kathryn Hurst, all of Tyler.
   
   Family  suggests  memorials  be  made  to the Martin County Historical
   Museum, P.O. Box 929, Stanton, TX, 79782 or the First United Methodist
   Church, P.O. Box 1193, Stanton, TX, 79782.
