Mrs. Martha Lou Josey Woodard, age 81, of Riddleville died on Friday, April 22, 2016, at the Extended Care Facility in Sandersville.

Graveside funeral services will be held at
2:00 P.M. on Monday, April 25, in the New Hope United Methodist Church Cemetery. Reverend Ron Dixon and Reverend M. D. Cabe will officiate.

Mrs. Woodard was a native and lifelong resident of
Washington County, the daughter of the late Willis Evans Josey and the late Zelma Price Josey. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Wilmer L. Josey, Ernest Lee Josey and Forrest Josey.

She was the owner and operator of Woodard's Grocery in Riddleville for many years and was a homemaker. She loved her garden and flowers and was a devoted loving mother and grandmother. Mrs. Woodard was a member of the
New Hope United Methodist Church and a Sunday School teacher.

Survivors are: her daughters, Denise Woodard Boyd and her husband Mark of Riddleville, Dianne Woodard Jackson and her husband Donnie of Riddleville, and Daryl Woodard Price and her husband Tony of Columbus; a brother, Alvin W. Josey and his wife Betty of Augusta; four grandchildren, Daniel Boyd and his wife Nicole, Katy Jackson, Anna Jackson, and John Willis Price; two great granddaughters, Addyson Boyd and Kinsley Boyd.

The family will greet friends at
New Hope United Methodist Church from 12:00 Noon until the hour of service on Monday.

The family will be at the residence of Denise and Mark Boyd on Highway 242.
