Mrs. Marie Beckworth Josey, 87, of 7709 Heard Bridge Road, died Saturday, Feb. 24, 1996, at University Hospital, Augusta.

The funeral will be at 3 p.m. today at Josey Baptist Church, with the Revs. Inman Gerrald and Bill Snipes officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Josey, a native of Jewell, lived in Bartow about 70 years. She was a homemaker and a member of Josey Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School and served as church clerk. She was former president of the Women's Missionary Union, and a member of the Mount Vernon Association.

Survivors include a daughter, Zulene Moats, Bartow; and five grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Lester Moats, Brentley Moats, Eric Moats, Hollan Josey, Hank Josey, Taylor Ford, Brian Barfield and Wayne Barfield.
