Marguerite Lawder Josey, 91, died Thursday, December 21, 2006. Services will be 3:00 P.M. Saturday, December 23, 2006 at the chapel of Moores Funeral Home with the Rev. David Mount officiating. Burial will follow at West View Cemetery.

           

Mrs. Josey was a native of Baltimore, Md. but made her home in Milledgeville. She worked with Clearview Cable and the Carpet Gallery. She served as a volunteer with the American Red Cross for over 25 years and was a member of the Hardwick Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband James E. Josey and her brother, L. W. Lawder.

Survivors include two sons, Carl W. “Butch” Josey and wife Mary and James D. “Jimmy” Josey and wife Sara all of Milledgeville; a brother, John Lawder of Ca.; four grandchildren, Leigh Ann Pyron, LaRuePunkin” Bryant, Ken Tapley and Clint Edmonson; 18 great grandchildren; a great-great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
