Lucille M.
(Patient) Josey, 86, of South Grafton, passed away
peacefully at home Saturday in the care and love of her family.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 63 years, Allen R. Josey; 5 loving
children, Bernadette M. LeBlanc and her husband Garry of South Grafton, Marguerite
M. Burgoyne and her husband Rick of Wesley ME, Lucille M. Vincent of South
Grafton, Marie E. Josey of Shrewsbury and Robert A. Josey and his wife Elaine
of East Douglas; 1 sister, Marguerite with The Sisters of Providence in
Holyoke; 1 brother, Roland V. Patient of Worcester; 15 grandchildren, 13
great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Two other siblings, Rita Brunell and
Robert Patient passed before her. Mrs. Josey was born February 2, 1920 in Worcester, the daughter of
Joseph E. and Beatrice (Lajoie) Patient. She also had lived in Holden before
coming to South Grafton 17 years ago. Lucille was a graduate of Commerce
High School and David
Hale Fanning Girls
Trade High School
both in Worcester. She was a
hairdresser for many years beginning with her shop in the Rice
Square section of Worcester.
She then worked with her aunt Dolores in Boston
and returned to Worcester working
in The Park Building before retiring. Lucille is a parishioner of St. James
Church, South Grafton and a former parishioner of St.
Stephens and St. Georges Catholic Churches in Worcester.
She was also a member of The Catholic Family Movement Association and The
Curscille Movement. Mrs. Josey loved time with her family and wintering in
Port Richey, FL with her husband for 20 years. All are invited to calling
hours Monday, October 16th from 4
to 8 p.m. in RONEY FUNERAL HOMES
SOUTH CHAPEL, 124 Main St.
(Rt. 122A) SOUTH GRAFTON. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, October
17th at 10:00 a.m. in The Parish
Church of St. James, 89 Main St.
(Rt. 122A) South Grafton. She will then be laid to
rest in Notre Dame Mausoleum in Worcester.
