Lorena Marlene Josey Boutilier, 27 Oct 2021

Age 61, passed away peacefully on October 27 at Dartmouth General Hospital. Those who were privileged enough to know her will agree that the impact she had on people's lives will greatly exceed the number of years she had here on earth. Lorena had many hobbies and interests, such as crocheting accessories for her family, travelling and boating with her hubby Wade, game nights with family and most recently cuddling her new grandbaby. Lorena impacted many lives during her cherished career as an elementary school teacher. She welcomed many students into her classrooms over the years with her delightful smile, but the thing she was most known for is that she was an incredible wife and mother. Lorena cherished her husband of 36 years and the three girls they raised together. To Lorena, her family was her whole world and there wasn't a day that went by that she didn't let them know that. Lorena is survived by her loving husband, Wade Boutilier, her daughters: Lana-Marie Power (Nicholas), Josie Benteau (Curtis), Nicole Boutilier (Jacob) and by her granddaughter, Cadence Power. She is also survived by her mother, Frances Josey, and brothers: Joey Josey (Shelley) and Parker Josey. Lorena was predeceased by her father, Walter Josey. Thank you to the kind nurses in the ICU and on 3 East at Dartmouth General Hospital, who provided warm comfort and care to Lorena over the past month. Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 30, from 2-4 and 7-9 with prayers at 8, all in DS Crowell & Son Funeral Home: 22558 Highway 7, Sheet Harbour. In following with COVID-19 protocols, masks, proof of vaccination & photo ID are required. There will be no funeral by request. Burial will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in memoriam can be made to Pancreatic Cancer Canada.
