Wes was a man of many ventures in life. He never shied away from work and could be considered an entrepreneur. Wes would go through neighborhoods and pick up papers for recycling before recycling bins were available. During all of his adventures, he also worked with the Civil Air Patrol. His impact on the community was a far reach and he will be missed.

Wes was a man who loved his Lord. He was a member of Beulah Baptist Church where he would go on the Baptist Mens Mission Trips and the Foreign Missions Trips. Prior to that, he served as youth director at Monticello Baptist Church for many years as well as a deacon. He was also a R.A. Leader for the royal ambassadors. But his service to his Lord didnt end there. On Saturdays he would be out with the Yokefellows Wood Ministry where he would cut and split wood for folks in the community who could not afford heating wood or was unable to cut it their selves. He would also go to local truck stops on Sunday morning to hold church services for truck drivers who were no able to attend church.
