VIVIAN, LA - Funeral services celebrating the life of Mrs. Lessie Doris Josey, age 93, will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, February 4, 2010 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, Vivian, LA with Rev. Richard Beeman, associate pastor of First Baptist Church, Vivian, officiating. Interment will follow at the Vivian Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday, February 3, 2010 from 6-8 pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Josey was born May 21, 1916 in Hosston, LA to John and Sally Vaughn and passed away on February 1, 2010 at Life Care Hospital after a brief illness. She had been a resident of Vivian most of her life, member of First Baptist Church and was a homemaker who loved to cook. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Her parents, husband of 54 years, Ralph Josey, two brothers and one sister preceded Mrs. Josey in death. She is survived sons, Don and Joyce Josey of Hempstead, TX, Bobby and Rosa Kennedy Josey of Willis, TX, and sister, Bessie Burns of Vivian, LA. She is also survived by grandsons, John Ralph and Brenda Josey of Angleton, TX, Bobby Don and Vicki Josey of Kingwood TX, Greg and Charlyn Josey of LaPort, TX; four great grandchildren, Taryn Josey, John Zachary Josey, Garrett Ray Josey, Lauren Alicia Josey and several nieces and nephews.
