“My mother, Kim Josey, had been battling cancer for four years. She was such a fighter, she never did anything halfway, it was all the way with everything she had. She kept children for many years. She had joy in watching them grow and discover new things in the world each day. I loved my mother more than anything. As each day passes along with each breathe I take I see more of her in me. I hold her precious memories and carry her heart within me. She would have given me the world just to see me happy if I had asked. I take comfort in knowing I’ll see her again one day. As the heavens come down and the golden gates open I’ll be with her. I love my mom. I’ll be seeing you in the stars.” – Kayla Josey.
