Obituary for Kenneth Grady Josey

Kenneth Grady Josey, 61 of Altus, passed away Saturday, April 17, 1999 at Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City. Memorial services are scheduled for Tuesday, April 20, 1999 at 11:00am at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ken Pate officiating. The family will have visitation Monday, April 19, from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.

Kenneth was born March 13, 1938 in Plainview, Texas to the late Grady Lovis and Eula (Allen) Josey. He graduated High School from Hale Center Texas and continued his education at Clarendon Jr. College where he received his Associates Degree. On December 23, 1961 in Altus Kenneth and Sally Craig were united in marriage. She preceded him in death on March 9, 1993. He owned and operated J & M Construction for over 20 years. And for 20 years he was in the turf business; the last five years he and his son, Jon, owned and operated North Fork Turf and Landscape. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Hale Center, Texas and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Altus.

Survivors include two sons, Jon Josey and wife, Jane of Altus and Kenny Josey and wife, Kristen of Stillwater, OK; three grandchildren, Ryan Scott Josey and Kiley Anne Josey both of Stiwwater and Hannah Christine Josey of Altus; one brother, Dewayne Allen Josey of Wichita, KS; one sister, Marilyn "Peggy" Josey Bullock of Flower Mound, TX and a host of nieces, nephews and many friends.

He preceded in death by his parents, Grady and Eula Josey and wife, Sally Josey.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church Family Life Center.

Arrangements are under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
