KATHLEEN EDITH JOSEY (nee VINCE) Peacefully, on Saturday morning, February 25, 2006 at the E.M. Crowe Memorial Hospital in Eriksdale with family by her side, Aunty Kay of Ashern, formerly of Burnaby, BC, passed away. Kathleen was born May 17, 1919 in Ashern. She was educated at Beatty and Ashern Schools and Grace Hospital in Winnipeg where she received her RN of Nursing. Kay worked as a nurse in Winnipeg for two years before moving to Vancouver where she nursed for 41 years. Kay married Albert Ralph Josey on June 28, 1947 and together they lived in Burnaby until his passing on March 13, 1994. She loved her camping trips and travelling overseas as well as the many winters they spent in El Centro, California. Kay spent many hours in her garden in Burnaby. She loved her flowers. She will be sadly missed by her sister-in-law Dorothy Josey and brother-in-law Frank (Connie) Josey both of Burnaby, BC, besides many nieces and nephews, especially Greg and Barb Vince of Ashern. Kay was predeceased by her husband Albert, parents Amos and Kate, sisters Irene Nelson and Bessie Campbell, brothers Ted and Bert Vince, mother and father-in-law Minnie and Victor Josey, brother-in-law Fred Josey, niece Jeannie Patterson, nephews Milton Vince, Gordon Patterson and Edward Vince. Many thanks to the care givers at the Eriksdale PCH and Hospital. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 4, 2006 at the Grace Lutheran Church in Ashern, MB, with Pastor Nancy Walker officiating Interment to be held in Burnaby, BC at a later date. Honorary pallbearers will be everyone in attendance. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3L 0K6.
