Kate Ellen Josey BELVEDERE, S.C. - Entered into rest Monday, June 19, 2006, Mrs. Kate Ellen Josey, 91, of Belvedere, SC, widow of the late Charlie Josey. Born in Washington County, GA, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Levada Brantley Johnson. Mrs. Josey was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church and prior to her health declining she enjoyed fishing. She is survived by daughters, Martha Jeannelle Owens, Belvedere, SC, Jeannette Ott and her husband, Jack, Belvedere, SC, Fay Daniel and her husband, Bill, North Augusta, SC, and Kay Anderson and her husband, Larry, Graniteville, SC; a son, Gerald Josey, North Augusta, SC; nine grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday June 21, 2006 at 3:00 PM at Pine Grove Baptist Church, Bath, SC, with Pastor Louis Swanson officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tom Hall, David Anderson, Blanding Spradley, Tim Prater, Rod Hall, and Christopher Hall. Mrs. Josey will be placed in the church at 2:00 Wednesday afternoon. The family has asked that if so desired memorials be made to Pine Grove Baptist Church, c/o the cemetery fund, 1050 Pine Grove Rd., Beech Island, SC 29842.
