John Allen Josey, age 81, of Frisco City, AL died Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at Monroe County Hospital. He was a lifelong resident of Frisco City and was a member of the Zion Baptist Church. He had worked for many years at Monsanto as a chemical operator and had served in the U. S. Marines.

He is survived by his wife: Eleanor Josey, Frisco City, AL; one daughter: Brenda Josey, Slidell, LA; four grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 3, 2011 from 6 to 8 PM at Johnson Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Friday, March 4, 2011 at Johnson Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 PM with Rev. Bob Gibson and Rev. C. L. Langford officiating. Interment will follow in Zion Rest Cemetery in Excel, AL with Johnson Funeral Home in charge of all arrangements.
