Funeral services for Jimmy (J.C.) Josey, 80, of Climax, Ga., will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday, March 9, at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Elders Emery Carlton, Cleve Blanton, Fred Burton and Evan Blanton officiating.

Interment will follow at
Pisgah Cemetery with Christopher Josey, Luther Reynolds, Eric Reynolds, Joel Josey, John Josey and Don Searan serving as active pallbearers.

The family will receive friends Saturday, March 8, from
5 to 7 p.m. at Ivey Funeral Home.

Mr. Josey was born in
Brinson, Ga., and died Thursday, March 6, 2008, at Archbold Memorial Hospital. He attended school in Brinson and later moved to the Bell Dixon Community. In the 1950s he graduated from Bainbridge High School through the G.I. Bill. He served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War, earning the rank of sergeant. He retired from Engelhard Corp. in Attapulgus with 28 years of service, working as a dryer fireman and acting foreman. He was a member of the Community Primitive Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Rebecca Boyett Josey of Climax,
Ga.; two sons, Eddie Josey of Climax and Wayne Josey of Bainbridge, Ga.; his daughter, Linda Reynolds of Bainbridge; his brother, Grady Josey of Panama City, Fla.; seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and other relatives.
