A private funeral service for Janet Josey Maddox will be held at Good Hope Baptist Church with Reverend Snyder and Tinker Hillman officiating.

Burial will follow in
Self Cemetery in Hornbeck, LA under the direction of Jeanes Funeral Service. A visitation time for the family and friends of Mrs. Maddox will be held at Good Hope Baptist Church on Thursday, March 26th beginning at 4:00 p.m. and will continue until the time of service.

Janet was born
July 11, 1956 in Winnfield, LA and passed away March 24, 2020 in Merryville, LA at the age of 63.

She was a talented piano player who could play a
mean piano. Janet liked to dance and enjoyed sewing and making crafts. Once her grandchildren and great grandchildren arrived, they became her life. Her family meant the world to her.

Janet was preceded in death by her first husband, Kenneth Williams Sr.; granddaughter, Brett Self, parents, L.C. Josey and Peggy Henry Josey; and sister, Bonita Cochran.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Bennie Maddox of Merryville, LA, sons, Kenneth Williams Jr. and wife Ginger of Robert, LA, and Jason Maddox and wife Melody of Arkansas.

Daughters, Angela Stephens and husband Billy of Merryville, LA; Angela Sheppard and husband Kevin of Rosepine, LA; Michelle Hood of Leesville, LA; Jennifer Maddox of Dry Creek, LA; and Victoria Clement and husband Russell of Oberlin, LA.

Sisters, DeeDee Perry and husband Douglas; Linda Strickland and husband Billy; and Glenda Cochran all of
Anacoco, LA.

Grandchildren, Kennee, Kaytlon, Lauren, Payton, Gavin, AlexisAnn, Bailen, Chloe, Sabrina, Abbie, Rylee, Christopher, Kimberly, Randelle, Tahj, Tyler, Brian, Joey, Kayla, Jeremy, Lane, Brandon, Harlee, and Bella.

Great Grandchildren, Ely, Tate, Jax, Alisyn, Dahlia, Freya, LouAnn, Kennetra, Coraline, Christina, Ciel, Mavis, Noah, Aurianna, Lillian, Christopher Jr., and one on the way,and a host of extended family.

Pallbearers will be Derek Perry, David Self, Kenneth Williams, Preston Maddox, Justin Smith, and Christopher Maddox.
Honorary pallbearer will be Kevin Shepard.
