Inez Elkin Barton Josey

Mrs. Inez E. Josey, 89, died Dec. 7 at Hospice Savannah.

The lifelong resident of Savannah was formerly employed as a salesperson for Belk's and Hogan's department stores. She was a member of Bull Street Baptist Church and the Pilot Sunday School Class. She was a former member of Calvary Baptist Church and the widow of Alfred Lee Barton and Ralph W. Josey.

SURVIVORS: a son, Robert Elkins of Valparaiso, Fla.; a daughter, Betty E. Stanford of Midway; grandchildren, Maj. Mark S. Stanford of New Mexico, David Lee Stanford of Williamsburg, Va., William Otis Stanford III of Midway and Robert G. Stanford of Summerville, S.C.; stepgrandchildren, Pam Bridges of Savannah, Donald E. Marin Sr. of Orlando, Fla., Richard D. Martin Sr. of Savannah and Leon C. Martin of Jacksonville, Fla.; eight great-grandchildren and seven step-great-grandchildren.

VISITATION: 6-8 p.m. today at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.

FUNERAL: 2 p.m. Saturday at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel, burial in Greenwich Cemetery.
