Henry Albert Josey
ANDERSON, S.C. -- Henry A. Josey,
76, of Anderson, died Saturday at Anderson Area Medical Center.
The funeral will be 2
p.m.
Monday at McDougald Funeral Home, Anderson, with burial in Old Silver Brook Cemetery. Visitation will be
7-8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Josey was born Nov.
16, 1918,
in Lydia, son of Maude
Chandler and Jacob Sinkler Josey. A former resident of Columbus, he was a graduate
of Clemson College, retired from Swift
Textiles Inc. after 38 years of service and also retired as a lieutenant
colonel from the U.S. Air Force Reserves. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps
during World War II and the Korean War. He was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church, Andersons Lions
Club, Victor Caudle Sunday School class, and was past president of the National
Association of Accountants. He was the widower of Nancy Wharton Josey.
Survivors include a
son, Jake S. Josey of Anderson; a daughter, Carol
Josey Bridges of Charlotte, N.C.; two brothers, Rufus M. Josey of Dothan, Ala., and William E.
Josey of Dublin, Ga.; a sister, Betty
Josey Smith of Statesboro, Ga.; and four
grandchildren.
