Hazel M. Ramsey, 89, of Iowa City and formerly of Burlington, died at 4:53 p.m. Thursday, November 4, 2010, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City.
Born November 5, 1920 in White, Arkansas, she was the daughter of William Anderson and Maude Walker Josey. On October 5, 1946 she married Robert S. Ramsey in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Mrs. Ramsey took great pride in creating a beautiful home for her family. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Kings Daughters, and PEO. She was an avid reader and loved flowers, nature, and playing golf.
Survivors include her husband, Robert S. Ramsey of Iowa City; one son, Robert F. Ramsey of Iowa City; one daughter, Susan Senchuk of Iowa City; six grandchildren; one sister, Evelyn Landes of Walnut Creek, California and many nieces and nephews.
Her parents, eight sisters and one brother preceded her in death.
The funeral service for Mrs. Ramsey will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 8th, in Lunning Chapel with the Rev. Deb Kinney officiating. Interment will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery
