Gerardo (Jerry) Brindisi (1920-2012)
completed his incredible life on Monday, February
20, 2012,
at the age of 91.
Jerry is survived by Lola (Andreini) Brindisi, his beloved wife
of 62 years. He is also survived by their four loving children, Anthony Brindisi, Geralyn (Richard) Azizkhan, Angela (Richard) Jackson and Gerardo V. (Susan) Brindisi. He was also
blessed to be Papa to eight grandchildren, Aaron, Richard, Tara, Tia, Anthony, Dana, Lauren, Luke; and one great-grandchild,
Lucas. He is survived by sisters-in-law, Connie (Nugent) Andreini
and Marie (DeFazio) Andreini. He is also survived by
several nieces and nephews, and his grand-niece, Gia,
born the same day Jerry went to heaven.
Jerry was born in Potenza, Italy, the son of Antonio
Brindisi and Filomana (Tancredi) Brindisi.
He served in the Italian Army and always shared his many stories of survival as
a prisoner of war. He immigrated in 1949 to Canada and settled in Niagara Falls, NY, where he started
his life with his loving wife, Lola. He worked for the Niagara Falls Housing
Authority for over 25 years, in addition to managing other properties
throughout the area.
Jerry was known for always working extremely hard and knew how to build or fix
anything. He enjoyed watching sports and was an avid hockey fan. His loving
wife and family were truly the central focus of his existence.
