Eva Lorena Josey Johnson

Graveside services for Lorena Josey Johnson, 91, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 23, 2004, at Magnolia Cemetery. The Rev. David Surrett will officiate with burial in Magnolia Cemetery, directed by Brown–Pennington–Atkins Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the service at the residence. Memorials may be made to the Wesley United Methodist Church, 145 E. College Avenue, Hartsville, SC 29550.

Mrs. Johnson, widow of Virgil Marion Johnson, died Thursday, Oct. 21, 2004. Born in Lee County, she was a daughter of the late James Arthur and Annie McCoy Josey. She was a long standing member of more than 60 years at Wesley United Methodist Church where she helped in the church nursery and Sunday school class. She loved her family, church and flower garden.Ê

Surviving are her son and daughter–in–law, Virgil Arthur and Joyce Johnson of Pawley's Island; daughter, Nancy Jeanne Williams of Naperville, Ill.; sisters, Mary Josey Munn of Spartanburg, Virginia McIntosh of Hartsville; grandchildren, Scott Arthur Johnson of Potomac, Md., Elizabeth Ann Johnson of Charlotte, Leslie Joseph Williams of Naperville, Ill., Melissa Karen Bonow of Plainville, Ill.; eight great–grandchildren.
