Mrs. Essie Sheppard Josey, 87, died Sunday, Aug. 6, 1995, at Memorial Hospital of Washington County.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. today at Davisboro United Methodist Church, with the Revs. Bob Williams and Joe Romigh officiating. Burial will be in Davisboro City Cemetery.

Mrs. Josey, a lifelong resident of Washington County, was a homemaker and a member of Davisboro United Methodist Church, where she was a member of United Methodist Women.

Survivors include a son, Charlie Ray Josey, Valdosta; a daughter, Betty Josey Wallace, Sandersville; two sisters, Pat Price, Wrightsville, and Edna Francis, Gray; and five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Mike McCoy, Jack Taylor Jr., Jimmy Francis, Tommy Humphrey, Scotty McCoy, Billy Taylor, Frank Moye and Olin Glover.

Lang's Chapel, Sandersville, is in charge of arrangements
