Winson Josey Jr., 57, of Brinson, Ga., died Friday in Camilla, Ga.

The service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Cox Funeral Home in Bainbridge, Ga., with burial at Bethel Cemetery in Decatur County, Ga.

A lifelong resident of Decatur County, he was a truck driver for Rentz Farm Supply. He had worked as a City of Bainbridge police officer and as a deputy sheriff with the Decatur County Sheriff's Department. He was the owner of Josey's Nursery and Landscaping Co. in Bainbridge. He was an Army veteran, and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Decatur County.

He is survived by two daughters, Cathy Montez of Savannah, Ga., and Betsy Hanberry of Atlanta; his mother, Lucille Grimes of Bainbridge; a brother, Carroll Josey of Pensacola; five sisters, Bobbye May and Alyce Beal, both of Rocky Mount, N.C., Jo Jones of Panama City, Emily Bostick of Camilla, and Janis Bryan of Bainbridge; a grandson; and his fiancee, Kathi Morrell of Camilla.
