Edward Josey

Edward Josey, 79, 807 Yost Road, died Sunday (Dec. 31, 2000) at his home.

Born on Sept. 13, 1921, in Rowan County, Mr. Josey was a son of the late Laura Bostian and John Josey.

He was educated in the Rowan County schools and was a saw mill operator.

He was preceded in death by a son, Glenn Josey, who died in February, 1995.

Survivors include daughters Ruby J. Starnes, Lexington, Bertha J. Daniels, Granite Quarry, Ethel J. Combs, Mount Holly, and Ann J. Benfield, Concord; sister Kathleen Rymer, Rockwell; 19 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Services: 3 p.m. Wednesday, Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. Joe Black. Burial, Salisbury City Cemetery.
