Easher Mae Kelly Josey

Easther Mae Josey, 80, of Lubbock, Texas, passed away on Feb. 15, 2015. Easther was born on Sept. 19, 1934, to the parentage of Jim and Willie-Mae Kelly in Caullins, Texas. Easther met and married A.B. Josey in 1955; to that union, five children were born. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother, and was also a devoted member of New Hope Baptist Church for 20 years. She was preceded in death by: her parents, Jim and Willie-Mae Kelly; husband, A.B. Josey and nine brothers. She leaves to cherish her memories: four sons, James Kelly, Albert Josey, Louis and Larry Josey; one daughter, Faye Kelly; 13 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; four sisters; three brothers; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Celebration of life services will be held on Thursday, Feb. 19, 2015, at 10 a.m., at New Hope Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the City of Lubbock Cemetery under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Visitation will be held today, from 3 to 6 p.m. at Griffin Mortuary.
