Dorothy May Leslie Josey, 8 Feb 1937 – 27 May 2022

Age 85 of Dartmouth, passed away peacefully May 27, 2022, in Dartmouth General Hospital. Born February 8, 1937 in Spry Bay, she was a daughter of the late Serena and William Leslie. Dorothy was a hairdresser in her early years. She was a dedicated wife to Densmore for 65 years and a devoted mother and homemaker. A strong resilient woman who was loved by many. She was hard-working and ready to tackle anything no matter how difficult; she persevered; no excuses. She loved her family, friends and neighbours enjoying their visits with a cup of tea. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, knitting and quilting. She was a dedicated Blue Jays fan and an avid bowler. She loved her log cabin that she and Denny built in Spry Bay where she gardened, picked berries, played bingo and cards and enjoyed community picnics and suppers. She loved flower and vegetable gardening, baking and making preserves and pickles. Dorothy is survived by children, Dawn (Doug), Dean (Kelly), Kim (Claude); grandchildren, Katelyn (David), Ryan, Alex (Courtney) and Jason; brothers, Brady, Elmer, Ira, Lindsay, Ralph; sisters, Anita, Ola, Eldona; and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by husband, Densmore; brothers, Harold, Winfred and Hector; sisters Freda, Linda, Pearl, and Doris. Cremation has taken place.
