593-9900 Dorothy M. Amerson Mrs. Dorothy M. Amerson, 71, a native of Holmes County and lifelong resident of this area, went
to be with the Lord after a sudden illness. She was a member of the Lighthouse Community Church in Marianna. She was a retired licensed
practical nurse, and she loved going to church. Visitation with the family was
at Lanier-Andler Funeral Home in Sneads, Monday, Feb. 15, 2010, from 4 to 6 p.m. CST. The funeral service will be Tuesday,
Feb. 16, at 11 a.m. CST at Lanier-Andler Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be the
Revs. Charles W. Coley and Henry M. McClain. A graveside committal service will
follow at Bonifay City Cemetery, Holmes County. Mrs. Dorothy M. Amerson is survived by
her husband of more than 53 years, James Edward Amerson Sr.; two daughters,
Anna Sherrill Lytle of Plant City, and Benita Sue Wages of Marianna; two sons,
James Edward Amerson Jr. of Gibsonton, and Daryl Coy Amerson, also of
Gibsonton; three sisters, Evelyn Johnson of Keyser W.Va., Mary Sue Rich of
Bonifay, and Joyce I. Henderson of Caryville; two brothers, Jimmy Dan Josey of
Bonifay, and James William Josey of Marianna; eight grandchildren; 13
great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Lanier-Andler Funeral Home
is in charge of arrangements.
