DONTONIO L. JOSEY

DARLINGTON — Funeral services for Dontonio Lavance Don Josey, 24 of Darlington were held at 4 p.m. Saturday, June 28, 2003, in Round O Missionary Baptist Church, Rev. M. A. McMillian, pastor, Elder Roscoe Black, officiating. Burial followed in the church cometary directed by Mitchell–Josey Funeral Home, Inc.

Mr. Josey died June 6. He was born in Darlington County, a son of Dorothy Josey and Sammie Hunter. He received his formal education in the Darlington County public schools. He was a member of Progressive Church of our Lord Jesus Christ in Bishopville.

Survivors include his mother, Dorothy Josey (Rufus) Benjamin of Darlington; his father, Sammie Hunter of Tacoma, Wash.; a son, Donye Z. Lavance Josey; three sisters, Andrea Josey, Erica Josey and Christina Benjamin; two half–brothers, Sammie L. McCall of Atlanta, Ga., and Steven Hunter of Tacoma, Wash.; his grandmother, Mrs. Sue G. Josey of the home; nine aunts; five uncles; a great–uncle and two great–aunts; a host of cousins.

The family is receiving friends at the home of his grandmother, Sue G.
