Funeral services for Dance Josey, 71, of Climax, were held Friday, Feb. 27, at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with elders Evan Blanton and Emery Carlton officiating.
Interment was in Pisgah Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery at Climax with Tim Blanton, Shannon Blanton, Brad Bates, Craig Bierbaum, Jimmy Shephard, Eddie Josey, Randall Josey and David Scott serving as pallbearers.
Mr. Josey died Feb. 25, 2004, at Memorial Hospital. He was a native of Decatur County and a retired plant operator for Engelhard Corporation. He was a member of Community Primitive Baptist Church in Whigham.
Survivors include his wife, Frances Kelly Josey; two sons, Thomas Josey of Climax and Kenneth Josey of Donalsonville; two daughters, Patricia Blanton and Vicky Helms, both of Climax; two brothers, Grady Josey of Panama City Fla., and J.C. Josey of Climax; a sister, Clara Mae Shephard of Climax; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
