Daisy Harris McGrath Josey

 

Daisy Josey, born Jan. 1, 1923, in Crestview, Fla., passed away Sept. 10, 2008, in a Pensacola, Fla., hospital.
Daisy was a lifelong resident of Crestview. She was a loving and devoted mother and wife, fond of her family and fishing, and was a long-time member of Live Oak Baptist Church in Crestview.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Curtis and Epsie Harris; her husband, Willard Josey; her son, Edward McGrath; and two stepsons, Zelmer and Max Josey.
Survivors include her daughters, Hellen Kramer of Crestview, and Lorene (Jerry) Whitfield of Tallahassee, Fla.; her son, Robert McGrath of Tallahassee; a stepdaughter, Gwen (Walt) Boulieu of Washington; three stepsons, Willie Ray (Betty) Josey of Alaska, R.D. (Rozell) Josey of Baker, Fla., and Glen (Elaine) Josey of Alaska; her brother, John Harris of Crestview; her sister, Hazel Hahn of Crestview; 14 grandchil-dren; several great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family members.
A time of visitation will be held from
6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Whitehurst Powell Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be conducted at
10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 13, at Live Oak Baptist Church with the Rev. Dennis Walker officiating. Committal services and burial will follow in the church cemetery.
