Charlie Will Josey Hembree

 

Funeral services for Mrs. Charlie "Shorty" Hembree, 83, of Anniston, will be 3 pm Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at Gray Brown-Service Chapel with Rev. Don Carroll officiating. Entombment will follow at Forestlawn Mausoleum. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 1:30 – 3 pm at the funeral home. Mrs. Hembree died Saturday at her residence.

Survivors include her daughter, Gail H. Camp and her husband Frank of Anniston, granddaughter, Genie Bowler and her husband Tyler, two grandsons, Gary Camp of Portland, OR, and Michael Camp of Grand Junction, CO, one great grandson, Camden Gene Bowler all of Newport News, VA, one sister, Jean D. DuPree of Swainsboro, GA.

Mrs. Hembree is preceded in death by her husband A.H. "Buck" Hembree Jr.

Pallbearers will be friends.

Mrs. Hembree was a native of
Bartow, GA, and moved to Alabama in 1954 where she lived in Heflin from 1956 to 1967 and was an Anniston resident ever since. She was a member of The First United Methodist Church of Anniston.

The family will accept flowers or memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1100 Ireland Way, Suite 201, Birmingham, AL 35205 or to Alacare Hospice 1525 Greenbrier Dear Road, Anniston, AL 36207.
