Bonnie Lea Josey passed peacefully with family at bedside on August 21st, 2019 in Pasadena, Texas at the age of 87. She was born at home in Oletha, Texas on November 9th, 1931 to Arthur and Silla Stevenson. Bonnie was the baby of the family with an older sister Annabelle to whom she admired and adored.

She fell in love with and married Leroy Josey
September 27th, 1951 and shared a wonderful life together until his passing in 1995. Together they built two thriving business’s while raising three proud children. Robert, Jim & Linda.

She was full of life, adventure and independence. She experienced so much in life and had so many amazing stories. She loved deer hunting, fishing and camping with her family.

Grammy expressed her artistic gifts through her oil paintings. She demonstrated her love of the natural world in her paintings. A number of her paintings are on display in her children’s and friend’s homes.

She looked forward to socializing and helping with her Xi Chi Rho family. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star in
Galena Park. She joined 1st Baptist Church of Pasadena in 1957.

Bonnie’s life has been one of love, devotion, and accomplishment. She has set an exemplary example for her children, grandchildren, and others.

She was a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother (Grammy) and Great Grandmother.

Son Robert, Wife Zaide Josey, Granddaughter Wednesday & husband Paul McCall. Great-grandchildren Morgan, Mallory, Miranda, Grandson Travis Josey & Kathy. Great-grandchildren Tyler,
Taylor, Jetta.

Son Jim, Wife Cathy Josey. Granddaughter Julie & husband Robert Ince. Granddaughter Christy Josey. Great-Grandsons Brock & Bryce Young. Granddaughter Bonnie Josey.

Daughter Linda Henson – who left us unexpectedly and with great heartbreak on
June 6th, 2014. Grandson Jacob Henson.
