Blanche Elizabeth Smith Josey

BARTOW -- Mrs. Blanche Elizabeth Josey, 79, died Jan. 11 at University Hospital, Augusta.

A native of Washington County, she resided in Bartow most of her life. She was a homemaker and member of The Apostolic Church.

SURVIVORS: a daughter, June Elizabeth Simpson of Martinez; four sons, Jerry E. Josey of Louisville, Ronnie O. Josey, Wayne N. Josey and William E. Josey, all of Bartow; five brothers, Ben Smith of Jacksonville, Fla., Fred Smith and Newman Smith, both of Bartow, Herbert Smith of Grovetown and Robert Smith of Allendale, S.C.; three sisters, Lorena Ford of Tucker, Mabel Proctor of St. Simons Island and Vina Mae Josey of Bartow; 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

FUNERAL: 11 a.m. today at The Apostolic Church, burial in church cemetery.
