Mrs. Betty Josey Parker age 76 of Ellabell died Saturday, Jan.. 30, 2010 at Bryan County Health and Rehabilitation while under the care of Hospice Savannah.
Mrs. Parker was a homemaker, a long-time member of Black Creek Holy Church of God, and loved to travel.
She was preceded in death by her father Homer Clay Josey and her mother Mattie Smith Bellamy.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years Buford Oren Parker, children Perry and Evelyn Parker of Stockbridge, Teddy and Susie Parker of Ellabell, Cindy and Jimmy Kersey of Savannah, Lynn and Betty Parker of Ellabell and Chris Parker of Ellabell; brothers and sisters Evolene (Josey) Henderson of Ellabell, Jean (Josey) and Dawson Gordon of Gray, Frank and Pat Josey of Gray, Bennett and Brenda Josey of Gray , and Deloris (Josey) and Eston Hamilton of Savannah; six grandsons and seven granddaughters and spouses, six great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation was held at the funeral home from
6-8 P.M. Sunday evening Jan. 31.
Funeral service will be
11 a.m. Monday in the Flanders Morrison Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Stanley Tyson officiating. Interment service will follow in Hillcrest Abbey West on Dean Forest Rd. in Garden City.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to Hospice of
Savannah..
Flanders Morrison Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
