Alva Amelia McDaniel Josey

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon for Mrs. Lee Roy Josey whose death occured Sunday night in a hospital at Louisville, Ga., where she had been ill for several weeks.

The rites took place at 4 p. m. in the Hardwick Baptist Church. The Rev. Francis Wilson and the Rev. R. L. Bridges were the officiating ministers, and burial was in Memory Hill.

Mrs. Josey who was 51, is survived by her husband; one son, Cpl. Royce Josey who was flown to the states from Germany to be at his mother's bedside during her fatal illness; three daughters, Mrs. Thomas Wright, Mrs. Dayton Clance and Miss Laura Josey; her mother, Mrs. Addie McDaniel and a sister, Mrs. Thomas Crooms. Three grandchildren also survive.
