A B Josey

LUBBOCK-A.B. Josey, 85, of Lubbock, Texas passed away on Aug. 5, 2014. A.B. was born on Feb. 8, 1929, in Madisonville, Texas, to the parentage of Rev. John and Susie Sanchez Josey. He married Esther Mae Kelley on March 29, 1955; to this union, five children were born.

He was employed with Plains Co-Op Oil Mill for over 30 years until retirement.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, Rev. John and Susie Josey; sisters, Ella Lee Josey and Florence Josey.

He leaves to cherish his memories: four sons, James Kelley, Larry, Albert and Lewis Josey; daughter, Faye Kelley Josey; 14 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Celebration of life services will be held on Monday, Aug. 11, 2014, at 11 a.m. at New Hope Baptist Church. Interment will follow at City of Lubbock Cemetery under the direction of Griffin Mortuary.
